So, you’ve read about all of the benefits of membership and now you want to know how to join! Below is some important information to keep in mind if your organization would like to become a UPMC member.

Requirements for Membership

“Any non-profit organization, the membership of which shall be drawn from the faculty, administrative staff or student body of the University of Wisconsin, is eligible to apply for membership. The term ‘non-profit organization’ shall include fraternity, sorority, co-operative house, language house, or club house, secular or denominational.”

An application for membership may be approved at any authorized meeting of the Board of Governors and requires a three-fourths vote of the Governors present. Upon acceptance of the application, a one-time membership fee of $20.00 is due as well as the amount specified by the Board of Governors to be applied toward the Guarantee Fund of the member-to-be.
